Wednesday Walks with NRWA Naturalist Gaynor Bigelbach

Walks run from 9:30 to 11:00 am on Wednesdays beginning September 25 through October, see specific dates/locations below

Temperatures are cooler, fungi are emerging, and swamp maples are starting to turn red. It’s time to lace up your hiking boots and join NRWA naturalist Gaynor Bigelbach for a Wednesday Walk. These popular interpretive walks are conducted at a leisurely pace with time for observation, discussion, and identification. Each walk begins at 9:30 am and ends by 11:00 am, lasting an hour to an hour and a half depending on the trail.

Wednesday Walks are intended for adults. All trails are easy to navigate but can be rocky and sometimes muddy so trekking poles are useful but not essential. Walkers need to dress for the weather and wear sturdy footwear. For the comfort of all, we ask that walkers do not bring their dog companions.

Walks are free and open to the public. Space is limited; registration is required. Directions will be emailed to registrants.
